Linda Jean McElrath, 70, of Paducah passed away and went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, June 22nd, 2026. Born on February 26th, 1956 Linda lived a life devoted to caring for others, loving her family, and walking faithfully with the Lord. Linda is survived by her 2 sons, Thomas Anthony Kent, and wife Cassie, and Bradley Hurchel Boulton and wife Monica both from Padicah as well. 2 brothers, Michael Lynn McElrath of Melbourne Florida, and Ben McElrath of Cadiz, and 2 sisters, Brenda Anderson and husband Bob of Lexington, and Mechelle Harrison of Paducah, who was not only her home health nurse and best friend, but by Linda's own admission was the closest sister and dearest friend that she could have possibly ever asked for. She also leaves behind several grandchildren, one great grandchild, and several nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr Jack Eugene McElrath, and Mary Elizabeth McElrath, both formerly of Paducah, 2 brothers, Mark Timothy and Darrell Eugene McElrath both formerly of Paducah. Her son, Jason Dewayne Kent, also formerly of Paducah, and one grandson, Austin Darius Kent. She was a retired hospice nurse who's loving, caring, compassionate nature made her especially suited for the line of work that she did. Caring for the sick and elderly was more than just simply a profession to her, it was part of who she was. Her kindness, compassion and gentle heart touched many lives and brought comfort to others during some of life's most difficult moments. In her quiet time, she enjoyed reading her scripture, and spending time coloring in her coloring books. Her Faith was an important part of her life and remained a source of strength and peace throughout her journey. Today she is reunited with the family that she so deeply missed and longed to see again. While those who loved her find comfort in knowing that she is finally at home with her Lord and Savior and is surrounded by those that went before her, her absence leaves a void in hearts that may never truly be filled. She too will now be one of those greatly missed, forever loved, and never forgotten. Rest easy mom. Save my place, I will be there in a little while. Services are in the works for a later date.
