Lucy "Gurney" Blankenship, 103, of Paducah passed away on Friday, September 4, 2026, at Oakview Nursing & Rehab in Calvert City.
Lucy was retired from AT&T Telephone Company.
Surviving is her daughter, Glynda "Cindy" Daniels and husband, Charles of Symsonia; one son, Paul Allen Sauer of Paducah; two grandchildren, Susanne Roberts and Andrea Maddux; three great-grandchildren, Candace McWhorter, Ian Maddux, Piper Maddux; and one great-great-grandson, Rawlin McWhorter.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Glynn Alfred Blankenship; one son, Donald "Pete" Blankenship; and her parents, Walter and Jessie Lee Attebury.
Graveside services will be at 2:00pm on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at Maplelawn Park Cemetery with the Rev. Todd Hawkins officiating, Burial will follow.
