Maggie Ayerine Calhoun

Maggie Calhoun, born September 26, 1932, finished her earthly pilgrimage and went to her heavenly home on June 22, 2026, at the Ray and Kay Eckstein Center of Paducah, KY. She was a housewife and worked at Parkview Nursing home as a nurse’s aide, in the 1960’s. She loved to crochet, sew, and paint ceramics and was known for her good home cooking. She lived at the Jackson House for 22 years. In earlier years, she volunteered in different capacities at the Jackson House. She received several awards for her volunteer work. She was affectionately known as “granny” by many of the residents. She loved her hugs and had a sweet treat for everyone. She loved her family and her Lord! She survives by her 2 Daughters, Sandy {Ted} Randles and Vickie {Roy} Beavers; 4 Grandchildren Robin {Glenn} Brown, Jimmy {Linda} Lange, Kevin Beavers and David {Zeena} Beavers; 2 Great Granddaughters, Megan {Zac} Moore and Sadie Lange, 2 Great Great ‘s, Demi and Ryli Moore. She was proceeded in death by her parents; John and Victoria Mayes, and her husband James Calhoun. Also, her Seven siblings and spouses; J.C {Joyce} Mayes, Mangel {Ed} Ferguson, Ambie {Thomas} Forrester, Essie {Doodle} Tucker, Robert {Charlene} Jones, Raymond {Opal} Jones and Boyd {Helen} Jones, and one Son-in-Law, Bobby Lange. Visitation will be held on Monday June 29, 2026, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Lindsey Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Monday June 29, 2026, at 1:00 pm at Lindsey Funeral Home with Bro. Charles Tate officiating the service burial will follow in the Maple lawn Cemetery in Paducah, KY.
