Marie West, 96 originally from Paducah, Ky, currently residing in Calvert City, Ky passed away on Sunday March 8, 2026, at 6:08 p.m. at Calvert City Convalescent Center peacefully with family present. Marie resided there for 6 years, living a life full of joy, gratitude, and good quality care by so many of her favorite caretakers that loved her like their own family. Marie was of the Baptist faith; she loved listening to Charles Stanley and Bill Graham. Ms. West is survived by her daughter: Suzanne Johnson (Charles), of Calvert City, Ky, one stepson: Alan Spears, two granddaughters: Nicole Edwards, Ginger Johnson; and three greatgrandchildren: Weston Edwards, Hudson Edwards, Tyler Johnson, Kattie Johnson, and several nieces and nephews. Marie was preceded in death by her parents: Enoch and Mary Hamlin (Chapmen), her former husband: Jack West of Paducah, Ky, one grandchild: Gary Johnson, one sister: Evelyn Yarbrough. Visitation will be held Thursday March 12, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 1: 00 p.m. hear at Lindsey Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held Thursday March 12, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. here at Lindsey Funeral Home with Bro. Mark Allen Edwards officiating the service. A private family burial will take place in Maplelawn Park Cemetery in Paducah, Ky.
