Martha Alford, 82, of Paducah, passed away on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at Baptist Health in Paducah.
She is survived by her daughter, Rhonda (Wes) Baker of Calvert City; two sons, Chris (Jean) Alford of Paducah and Jeff (Jill) Alford of Paducah; and her beloved grandchildren, Kayla (Adam) Gurley of Gilbertsville, Paige (Andy) Johnson of Vienna, Illinois, Christian (Savanah) Alford of Stonebrook, Georgia, Lia Bowman of Paducah, Rachel Alford of Paducah, Ethan Alford of Florence, Kentucky, and Cameron Ezell, Her great-grandchildren, Trace Gurley, Hunter Gurley, Brecken Johnson, Forest Bo Johnson, and Topanga Johnson, along with many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Martha was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Ray Alford; her father, Rev. Henry White; her mother, Ethel Puckett; three brothers, James Henry White Jr., Billy Gene White, and Charles Dale White; one sister, Lelia Magdalene “Lee” Anderson; and one grandson, Zachary J. Alford.
Martha was the former owner of Martha’s Beauty Salon and Message in a Basket Flower Shoppe in Vienna, Illinois. She later ventured into car sales in both Kentucky and Illinois. Martha will be remembered most for her unwavering faith in God, her strong work ethic and her dedication to her businesses and clients. She delighted in telling others about God. Martha was actively involved in a number of organizations, including church youth groups, and she founded a senior group known as “Fun with Friends.” Martha was a member of Lone Oak First Baptist Church in Paducah. Martha greatly enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, whom she cherished deeply.
Friends may visit with the family during the memorial visitation on Monday, March 30, 2026, from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m. at Lindsey Funeral Home, with memorial services to follow at 1:00 p.m., officiated by Andrew Johnson.
