Mary Martha Wright, 96, of Smithland passed away on Thursday, November 20, 2025, at Baptist Health Paducah.
Mary Martha was a retired investigator from GTE, now known as Verizon. She was an accomplished artist starting at age 50. Her paintings are treasured by family, friends and business owners. She was a talented piano player. She grew roses for competition and loved playing the game Bridge. She was a member of the Second Baptist Church in Andrews, TX.
Surviving are her two sons, Danny Joe (Joette) Wright of Texas and Ron (Kelly) Wright of Tiline; four grandchildren, James Wright, William Wright, Mary Frances Wright, Viva (Thomas) Koenig.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Frank Wright; her parents, Cad and Vernal DuPriest; sister, Viva Holmes; and brother, William Billy DuPriest.
Graveside services will be at 1:30pm on Thursday, December 4, 2025, at the DuPriest Cemetery on Cutoff Road in Smithland. Burial will follow.
Friends may visit the family from 11:00am to 1:00pm on Thursday, December 4, 2025, at the Smith Funeral Chapel in Smithland.
