Morris Wood, 90, of West Paducah passed away on Thursday, July 17, 2025 at Baptist Health in Paducah.
He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church, a Kentucky Colonel, and United States Army Veteran. He loved to drive his ponies and wagons in area parades.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Gaytha Wood of West Paducah; two daughters; Leslie McCowan of Paducah, Tara (Thomas) Holstein of Paducah; one son, Mark (Allison) Wood of Paducah; five grandchildren; Katie Hostein, Sarai Hostein, Kelsie Plumley, Haili Hostein, Tyler Wood; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard Murray Wood and Jennie “Fannie” Frances Gibson Wood.; and one sister, Ruth Wood.
Friends may visit with the family from 10:00am to 12:00pm on Wednesday July 23. 2025 at Lindsey Funeral Home.
Funeral services will follow at 12:00pm with the Rev. Bill Ogden officiating. Burial with military honors and masonic rights will be at Kansas Cemetery in Melber.
