Phillip Weitlauf, 75, of Paducah, passed away Saturday, July 4, at Vanderbilt Clarksville Hospital, in Clarksville, Tennessee.
Phil was born in Paducah to Willard and Ruth Fields Weitlauf. He was a graduate of St. Mary High School and Murray State University. He spent more than 40 years in the mortgage lending industry, retiring from U.S. Bank. He taught real estate classes for many years at PCC and WKCTC. Phil had a lifelong love of tennis and racquetball and was a die-hard University of Louisville fan. He was a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church.
Surviving are his wife, Tammy Potter Weitlauf; two daughters, Amy Vick (Alan) and Leslie Weitlauf (Chris Pennington), all of Paducah; Two sons, Brad Weitlauf of Benton and Andrew Weitlauf of Paducah; two brothers, Wendel Weitlauf (Lori) of Fulton and Kevin Weitlauf (Kim) of Louisville; brother-in-law, Keith Potter (Dr. Stephanie Singleton) of Eatonton, Georgia; three grandchildren, Bailey Flynn (Austin) of Villa Hills, Miller Vick of Madisonville, and Macy Vick of Paducah, numerous nieces and nephews and his beloved dog, Beasley.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Bill Weitlauf and Daryl Weitlauf.
Visitation will be Saturday, July 11, 2026, from 9:00 am to 11:00 am at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, followed by a funeral Mass at 11:00 am with Father Gary Clark officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Livingston County.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a children’s charity of your choice.
