Ronald Jackson Jones, 75, of Metropolis, IL passed away Friday, May 1 at 3:51 pm at Baptist Health in Paducah, KY.
Jackson was born on September 4, 1950 in Advance, MO to the late Cletus and Martha (Putman) Jones.
Jackson loved the Lord and was saved in 2013. He retired from Allied Signal in Metropolis, IL in 2003 and was known as “Pappy Jack” to the countless number of players he coached through various levels of baseball coaching throughout his life. He was also an avid fan of both the Kentucky Wildcats and St. Louis Cardinals.
Jackson is survived by his wife Pat, daughter Courtney (Aaron) Clark, stepchildren Jason Gallo, Ashley (Scott) Martin, Whitney (Mike) Rushing, grandson Keaton Clark, stepgrandchildren Peyton (Laken) Gallo, Logan Gallo, Conner Gallo, Jayce Gallo, Avery Martin, Ashlynn Martin, and Gavin Rushing, sister Kay McKibben, brother Johnny Jones, sister-in-law Debbie Ray, nephews and nieces Bill (Soo-Jin) McKibben and Kristopher (Caroline) Jones, Lindsay (Corey) Parkinson, Shanda (Mike) Umberger, David Ray, and several great nieces, great nephews, and step great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Cletus and Martha (Putman) Jones and brother Stanley “Doodle Bug” Jones
There will be no funeral services. Arrangements are entrusted to Lindsey Funeral Home in Paducah, KY.
