Roy Dale Purcell

Roy Dale Purcell, 74, of Boaz, died Thursday, June 19, 2025, at Mercy-Health Lourdes Hospital in Paducah.

Roy worked as a heavy equipment operator and farmer. He was a member of Clarks River Baptist Church. He loved spending time on his farm and working with his cattle.

Surviving are his two children, Ronnie (Vickie) Purcell of Dawson Springs and Melissa (Kevin) England of Mayfield; five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Roy was preceded in death by his wife, Marsha Purcell; his parents, Howard and Dorthy Purcell; and two brothers, David Purcell and Carl Purcell.

Funeral services will be at 1:00pm on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at Lindsey Funeral Home with Bro. Jeff Collins officiating. Burial will follow at Hardmoney Cemetery.

Friends may visit the family from 11:00 am to service hour on Wednesday at the funeral home..
