Tamara M. Brown

Tamara Michelle Brown (Johns), 67, of Ledbetter, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on May 9, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. Tamara was the heart of her family in so many ways — the one who made people feel welcome, seen, and deeply cared for. She had a gift for bringing comfort to others, whether through a conversation, a laugh, a song made up on the spot, or simply by showing up when someone needed her. She loved hard, laughed often, and carried a warmth that made people feel at home around her. She worked as a bookkeeper for JMS Metal Service, where her dedication and kindness reflected the way, she lived her life everywhere else too. Outside of work, she loved traveling the country with her husband, seeing new places, listening to music, and making memories of the people she loved most. No matter where she was or what she was doing, she could turn almost anything into a song and somehow make everyone around her smile. Tamara is survived by her loving husband, Randall Brown; her daughter, Nicole Rivera (Brown) of Spring Hill, Florida; and her beloved granddaughters, Whitnee Anderson of Spring Hill, Florida, Macie Anderson of Land O’ Lakes, Florida, and Sidney Anderson of Boca Raton, Florida, two sisters, Pamela Ortt of Princeton, KY, Cara Johns of Possum Trot, KY. Tamara is preceded in death by her parents, Gene R. Johns and Doris H. Johns (Bartley). More than anything, Tamara will be remembered for the love she gave so freely. Her family was her greatest joy, and the memories, laughter, music, and love she leaves behind will continue to live on in all of them. Tamara memorial visitation will be held on Friday June 12, 2026, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Lindsey Funeral Home. She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
