Thomas Lee Hammonds, 65, of Kevil passed away on Thursday, February 26, 2026, at Mercy-Health Lourdes Hospital in Paducah.
Thomas started his work career as a salesclerk for Finkle’s, then he went on to work as a warehouse manager at Walker Boat. He finished his career working at Marquette for over 20 years as a was a purchasing manager. He was an active member of New Geneva Community Church. He loved gardening, going to the gym, and loved God.
Surviving are two sisters, Margarete Dawson of Kevil and Susan Hines of Kevil; one brother, Fred Hammonds of Columbia, SC; two nephews, Eric and Fred Jr; three nieces, Sabrina, Angela, Nicole; and one sister-in-law, Evelyn Hammonds.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George Lee Hammonds Jr. and Helga Hammonds; two brothers, Charles Hammonds and Billy (Diane) Hammonds.
Memorial services will be at 12:00pm on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at New Geneva Community Church located at 4600 Buckner Lane in Paducah with the Rev. Don Watkins officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made in his honor to Hope Unlimited or Starfish Ministries both of Paducah.
