Alice Faye Hebel
It is with saddened but grateful hearts that we announce that Alice Faye Hebel passed away peacefully in her sleep early Tuesday morning, November 3, 2026, in Paducah, Kentucky, at the age of 93.
Alice was born June 2, 1933, in Anton, Texas, to Winston and Ethel Douglas. She was a loving wife, devoted mother, and consummate grandmother.
Alice was raised in Littlefield, Texas, where she met and married her husband, Dr. Joe W Hebel. She served alongside her husband in ministry for over 50 years as a faith-filled pastor’s wife in Texas, Oklahoma, and Kentucky.
Affectionately known as “Miss Alice” and, in later years, “Mimi”, she was loved by all who encountered her. She was a lady of deep and steady faith who quietly served everyone who came into her orbit. Mimi never met a stranger and had the unique ability to see the good in every situation and quietly give hope, peace, and perspective to those around her. In her later years, she “Mimi’d” the Paducah community at large as the hostess in the Dining Room at Chick-fil-A, where she served until she was 86 years old.
Alice was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Joe W. Hebel. She is survived by her two daughters, Kassie Greene and Debbie (Mark) Riley; her son, Dr Bruce (Toni) Hebel; six grandchildren, Kristin Zuniga, Keenan (Nicole) Riley, Aaron (Katie) Hebel, Kyle (Joy Beth) DeWitt-Riley, Andrew (Terrence) Hebel and Amy (Brody) Smithwick; 11 great grandchildren, Avery Riley, Sterling Dowell, Kaleb Riley, Eliana Hebel, Abraham Hebel, Sophia Dowell, Keziah Smithwick, Joel Riley, Moses Hebel, Eden Hebel and Judah Hebel.
A Celebration of Life will be held Friday morning, November 13, 2026, at 11:00, with a time of visitation with the family from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, November 12, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
