Anna Mae Haws, age 79, of Wickliffe Kentucky, passed away peacefully on Wednesday November 26, 2025, at Baptist Health Hospital.
Anna was born in Wyatt, Missouri on March 31, 1946, to the late Wilford & Frances Copeland.
Anna, commonly known as Pepper Ann in her younger days because she had such a hot temper and was one of the strongest women that most knew. There were many times many people didn’t think she would make it through many different health concerns, but she always defied the odds & gave a great fight. She loved cooking for her family & didn’t know how to do anything small. Her dinners could feed an army most nights & she would have her door open to anyone who would want a plate. Growing up in a family where she was one of fifteen siblings, she always said she didn’t have much as a child but she was always happy. She had a love for house plants & cast iron décor. She also enjoyed shopping for clothes & jewelry, whether it was at a store or at a local yard sale. Above all else though, she had a love for her family. She loved to spend time with them & make memories to last a lifetime.
She is survived by her daughter Tracy Haws; three sons Joey (Jeanine), Steven, & Brian Haws; twelve Grandchildren, Lisa Hawkins, Holly (Nate) Linder, Misty (Michael) Cavanaugh, Emmett (Chelsea) Berry, Dante Lynox, Braylen Jones, Dakota & Nicholas Haws, Josh (Sandra) Overton, Carrie Haws, Randall (April) Condon, & Mark (Elizabeth) Overton; nine Great-grandchildren, Kenley Boudreaux, Logan & Hayes Hawkins, Addington Fiscus, MaNoah Linder, Michael, Matthew, Mason Cavanaugh, & Elias Berry; two Step-children Gary (Angela) Haws & Lisa (William) Rock and various other great grandchildren whom she adored and loved; Devoted friend regarded as a daughter Lennette Scott; three sisters, Laura Stucker, Frances Sutton, & Debbie Copeland and four brothers, Donald, Micheal, Anthony, & David Copeland.
