Barbara Farone, age 92, of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, formerly of Melber, Kentucky, passed away on August 17, 2026 at NHC Place in Knoxville, Tennessee.
Barbara was a retired administrator with National Healthcare, a member of the American Healthcare Administrators, and a former member of the Rotary Club.
Barbara was known for her gregarious and outgoing personality. She never met a stranger and loved talking on the phone, traveling the world, and spending time connecting with others. She was friendly, strong-willed, and perhaps a little stubborn—qualities that made her uniquely memorable to all who knew and loved her.
Barbara will be remembered for her vibrant personality, adventurous spirit, and the many lives she touched throughout her life.
Barbara is survived by her two children, Jackie Wyse (Michael) of Maple Grove, Minnesota and Vincent Farone (Kathy) of Knoxville, Tennesee; three grandchildren, Ryan (Jennifer) Wyse, Jusin (Angela) Wyse and Carly Farone; and five great-grandchildren, Logan Wyse, Layla Wyse, Owen Wyse, Kai Kilanowski and Quill Kilanowski.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Vincent A. Farone; her parents, Alva and Reeta Cruse; one sister, Sibyle Hunt; and two brothers, Rex Cruse and Alva Cruse, Jr.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, August 22, 2026 at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Homes. Entombment will follow at New Concord Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 am until the 1:00 pm service time on Saturday, August 22, 2026 at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Homes.
