Barry Sullivan, age 67, of Paducah, passed away on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at Ray & Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center.

Barry was born on August 7, 1958, in Paducah to Michael “Mike” J. Sullivan and Patricia “Patty” Ann Sloan Sullivan.  He was a 1977 graduate of St. Mary Catholic School, where he played on the basketball team. He was an ironworker for Local 782. Barry had a generous heart. He loved to help others in any way that he could, but he also enjoyed making everyone laugh. Barry also enjoyed researching anything he could and learning how things were built and how they worked. He possessed an extensive knowledge of things most people would never even consider.  Barry was a St. Louis Cardinals fan. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and playing an occasional round of golf. Above all, Barry loved spending time with his family. He looked for any opportunity to get together with those he loved most.

Barry is survived by his father, Mike J. Sullivan; two sisters, Laurie Sullivan Bundy (Lynn) of Paducah, Mary Kathleen Sullivan Casbon (Dave) of Paducah; one aunt, Vicki Sloan Kloss of Paducah; nephew, Robert “Jason” Bundy; niece, Jennifer Ellen Bundy Greve (Nate); great-nephew, Dallas Greve; great-niece, Kinsley Greve; step-daughter, Trenia Gordon of Paducah, along with several cousins.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Patty Sullivan; paternal grandparents, Michael Sullivan Sr. and Virginia Linton Sullivan; maternal grandparents, William E. Sloan and Virginia Moore Sloan; and aunt, Debbie Sloan Dyson.

Funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. at St. Francis de Sales Catholic church with Father Gary Clark officiating. Burial will follow the service at Mt. Carmel Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at St. Francis de Sales Catholic church from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.

The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses on the Fourth floor at Lourdes and the nurses at Ray & Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center for the excellent care they provided.
