Betty Butler, age 80, of Paducah, Kentucky passed away peacefully at her home at 1:19 p.m. Friday, August 9, 2024.
Betty was a member of the First Christian Church of Paducah. Betty was born on April 9, 1944, to the late William Goebel Harvey and Lora Ann (Aaron) Harvey. Betty retired from Western Baptist Hospital in 2010 after 32 years of service as a Health Unit Coordinator. “Betty B” loved her job and co-workers and will be dearly missed by all. She loved flowers, gardening, and working in the yard. Betty loved watching sports, especially the University of Kentucky Basketball and the Nashville Predators Hockey.
Survivors include three daughters. Mellony Hale, Tracy (Clay) Jenkins, and Jackie Green all of Paducah; one brother, Donald Griffin Harvey, Paducah; one step-daughter, Jill (Kevin) Harris, Elkton, KY; one step-son, Randall (Pamela) Butler, Paducah; five grandchildren, Jen, Tara, Bart, Molly, and Jamie; five step-grandchildren, Rachel, Stephanie, Randi Michelle, Tyler and Kyle; ten great-grandchildren, Abby, Lily, Anakin, Oliver, Rowen, Sylvia, Brenn, Fletcher and Twin Babies on the way; five step-great-grandchildren, Charli, Elli, Reagan, Brooke and Briggs; daughter-in-law, Kim Hale, Paducah.
Preceding in death was her husband of 24 years, Stanley E. (Gene) Butler; son David Dwight Hale; step-son Phillip Gene Butler, parents; two brothers, Sammy Harvey and still born baby; father of her four children, Cecil Dwight Hale.
Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, August 24, 2024 at the Lone Oak Chapel Milner & Orr Funeral Home with Rev. Jamie Eubanks officiating. Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. until service time of 1:00 p.m. at the Lone Oak Chapel Milner & Orr Funeral Home.
