Bobby was born in Cairo, Illinois, on March 21, 1945, to the late George and Mary Martin Hunt. He was a member of North Ballard Baptist Church.  A lifelong farmer, Bobby was well-known for his dedication to raising cattle, a profession that was not merely a livelihood but his passion.

On the ground, he shared treasured moments with his brother, traveling to various farm shows.  Bobby was also a passionate fan of racing, most importantly, NHRA Drag Races.
