Brenda D. Wade, age 73, of Bardwell, passed away on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at Baptist Health Paducah.
Brenda was born in Clinton, Kentucky, on April 23, 1952, to William and Bonnie Porter Turnbow. She lived her life with a quiet strength and a generous heart, always finding purpose in helping others. As a nurse, she cared deeply for the people who depended on her, offering comfort, compassion, and steady hands when they were needed most.
She loved the simple joys that made each day brighter-old western movies that took her back in time, shelves lined with holiday bears and beautiful pieces of slag glass, and the company of any animal lucky enough to cross her path. Her love of reading was unmatched; she could finish a book a day without hesitation, losing herself in stories as easily as others breathe. And when she picked up a crossword puzzle, she completed it with an ink pen, confident and clever to the very last square.
Above all, she cherished her family. Being a mom and a MawMaw or MoMo was the role that filled her heart the fullest. Her love was steady, unconditional, and ever-present, a gift she gave freely and without limit.
She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, curiosity, and devotion-one that will continue to live on in the people who loved her most.
Brenda is survived by two daughters, Amy Kellermeyer of Paducah, Sara Moore (James) of Union City, Tennessee; one son, Wade Courtney (Jessica) of Bardwell; three brothers, Russell Turnbow (Rhonda) of Cunningham, Bruce Turnbow (Renee) of Benton, Scott Turnbow (Amber) of Lone Oak; 7 grandchildren, Josh Moore, Brandon Kellermeyer, Tristan Kellermeyer (Nichole), Jack Moore, Kari Courtney, Zack Courtney, Lily Courtney; 6 great-grandchildren, Roman Moore, Jayce Moore, Paisleigh Kellermeyer, Kora Kellermeyer, Christian Cousins and Everlee Cousins.
Per Brenda’s wishes, no services are scheduled at this time.
