Brenda Joyce Seay Quertermous, 83, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, June 14, 2025. She was born on January 17, 1942, in Clarksville, Tennessee to Roy and Frances Seay.
Brenda was known for her gentle spirit, kind eyes, a smile that could light up any room, and most of all, her love for Jesus. She was soft spoken, never one to complain, and happy to share her love with Jesus. To know her was to love her. There is no doubt when she got to Heaven, Jesus said to her “Well done thy good and faithful servant.”
Brenda was a true Proverbs woman- patient, courageous, and wise. Her strength and beauty shined through everything she did. She took pride in caring for her family and was an amazing wife, mother, and grandmother. She will be missed by those who were fortunate enough to have known and loved her.
Brenda is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, David Quertermous; a son, Robbie Reynolds (Sreeya); five daughters, Vickie Wright (Mark Masarik), Kimberly Barnett (David), Kristi Truitt (Jeff) Lawana Quertermous, and Lisa Morris; eleven grandchildren, David Barnett, Chris Burgess, Macy Truitt, Heather Durai, Jordan Hogan, Joshua Hogan, Tanner Wright, Michael Burgess, Isaiah Gray, Melissa Morris, and Eddie Morris; and 10 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Frances Seay; a grandson, Caleb Barnett; and a sister, Debbie Suffridge.
A very special thank you to Life Care of La Center. The care that the nurses, CNA’s, and Doctors provided was selfless and beyond what we could have asked for. They were not only caregivers, but became family for the past almost four years.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, June 19, 2025 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with David Barnett officiating. Entombment will follow at Maplelawn Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until the service hour of 1:00 PM on Thursday, June 19, 2025, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
