Brenda Wright, 78, of Paducah, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, April 26, 2026, at her home.
Brenda was born on August 23, 1947, to the late Bert and Ethel Woodford Rankin in Paducah.
She worked for many years as a self-employed hairdresser, a profession that allowed her to share not only her skill but also her cheerful personality and compassionate heart.
Faith was an important part of Brenda’s life, and she was a devoted member of Paducah First Church of the Nazarene. She loved her church deeply and found joy in being part of a congregation that shared her beliefs and supported her spiritual journey.
Brenda is survived by her two daughters, Krystal Stevens and her husband, Jeremy of Kevil, Kentucky, Kari Hughes and her husband, Ben of Ledbetter, Kentucky; a son, Jeff Dees and his wife, Rene of Metropolis, Illinois; four grandchildren, Taylor Lepeard, Mekenzie Lepeard, Ashley Dees, and Matthew Phillips; four great-grandchildren, Oliver Springs, Asher Springs, Omni Lepeard, and Olin Sheridan; a sister, Shirly Reed of Paducah; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dan Wright; a sister, Rochelle Griggs; two brothers, Bobby Rankin and Jimmy Rankin; and her parents.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, April 30, 2026, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Rev. Carl Hawkins officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Kenton Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 am until the service hour of 1:00 pm on Thursday, April 30, 2026, at Milner and Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
