Charles Adrion Lester, 79, of Arlington, passed away on Wednesday, September 21, 2022 at Baptist Health Paducah.
 
Charles was born in Texarkana, Texas on February 18, 1943 to the late Weaver Freddy Lester and Janella Brown Hall. Charles owned and operated his own small engine repair shop for many years. He was retired from the Chrysler Corporation after 30 years, and Huck's after 20 years. Charles served in the US Army during Vietnam.  He loved guns and enjoyed building things with his hands.  He also enjoyed watching western movies with John Wayne and his favorite show, Star Trek.  In 2017, Charles was very excited to be one of the few to win the lottery where he took home $60,000 from the Kentucky State Lottery.
 
Charles is survived by his wife, Marylan Annette Malloy Lester; five daughters, Marylan Annette (Floyd) Taylor of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Marchella Anawanette (Lawrence) Claar of Joplin, Iowa, Malinda Anne Barnhart of Arlington, Mary Adrionette Estes of Arlington and Mariam Amelia McLain of Madison, Wisconsin; one brother, Sam Edward Lester of Idaho; 12 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
 
He was preceded in death by a sister, Freddy Lester; two brothers, Gary Lester and Weaver Freddy Lester, Jr.; one grandchild, one great-grandchild, and his parents.
 
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, September 26, 2022 at Mt. Gilead Baptist Church in Columbus with Rev. James Lee officiating.
