Charles C. "Chuck" Campbell, 82, of Paducah, passed away Saturday, March 7, 2026, at Baptist Health in Paducah, KY. He was born on May 20, 1943, in Marshall County, KY, to the late Hugh Campbell and Iva Dishman Campbell.
Chuck was raised in the Presbyterian faith. After completing his education, Chuck answered the call of duty and proudly served his country as a member of the United States Marine Corps. His time in the service instilled in him a deep sense of patriotism and camaraderie, which he carried forward as a lifelong member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) and a member of the American Legion.
Following his military service, Chuck embarked on a successful career as a technician with Bell South. Chuck's retirement from Bell South marked the end of a long and fulfilling career, but it also opened the door to new adventures and opportunities to spend time with his loved ones. Chuck took particular joy in doting over his granddaughter, Kassie. Chuck relished the outdoors and could often be found biking along the Paducah riverfront, taking in the beauty of nature and the rhythm of the water. His love for biking was matched by his passion for marksmanship, and he spent many contented hours at the shooting range, honing his skills.
Chuck is survived by his wife of 42 years, Sandra Campbell of Paducah; his three step-daughters, Mindy Lou Wylie of Pennsylvania, Melinda Lee Wylie of Louisville, KY, and Krista Rhea Wylie of Grand Rivers, KY; his four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Sarah Campbell, along with his two nephews, Mark Campbell and Kevin Campbell.
Chuck was preceded in death by his parents and his two brothers, Ralph Campbell and James Campbell.
Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM Thursday, March 12, 2026, at Maplelawn Park Cemetery in Paducah. There will be no visitation.
