Charlie Crider, 75, of Arlington, Kentucky, passed away on September 25, 2026, at Ray & Kay Eckstein Center in Paducah, Kentucky. Charlie was born on November 9, 1950, to the late Tony and Elizabeth Crider.
Charlie was a graduate of Carlisle County High School, Class of 1968. At just 17 years old, and with his mother’s permission, he proudly entered the United States Navy shortly after graduating high school.
Following his time in the Navy, Charlie began a 36-year career with Goodyear Tire, where he worked as a tire builder. He took great pride in his work and the many years he dedicated to his career.
Charlie enjoyed the simple things in life. He loved being outdoors, especially golfing, squirrel and rabbit hunting, and fishing. One of his greatest joys, however, was spending time with his grandchildren. He loved playing with them and especially enjoyed going swimming with them whenever he could. He also loved sitting down with his family to play cards or dice—and you could almost always find a Diet Mountain Dew close by.
Family was at the heart of Charlie’s life. He shared a special bond with his brothers and sisters and loved each of them dearly. In fact, he always had a bedroom waiting for him at each of their homes. He cherished every opportunity to visit with his siblings and was happiest when he could simply be together with the people he loved.
Charlie will be remembered for his love of family, his easygoing spirit, his enjoyment of the outdoors, and the countless memories he created with those closest to him. He leaves behind a family who will miss him deeply but will carry his memory and the many good times they shared for years to come.

Charlie is survived by his son, Dustin (Grace) Crider; his favorite daughter, Amanda (Josh) Hook; mother of his children, Cherri McChristian; sisters, Laura (Mike) Gilkey and Pat Musto; brothers, Mike (Nickie) Crider and David Crider; six grandchildren, Aspen Bower, Mady Hook, Conner Crider, Lucie Crider, Elsie Crider, and Ethelyn Crider; several nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, Sirow.
He is preceded in death by his brothers, Bob Crider and Johnny Crider; sister, Bettye Pickard; and his parents.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, September 28, 2026, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Arlington, with Rev. Kevin Paschall officiating. Burial will follow at Milburn Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the service time of 1:00 p.m. on Monday, September 28, 2026, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Arlington.
