Christine Hays Deweese, 91, of Paducah, Kentucky passed away at 11:45 a.m. Friday, November 24, 2023 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born in Carlisle County, Kentucky on November 12, 1932 to the late Eunice E. Hays and Sammie Hickman Barriger Hays. Chris was a retired Decorator and Floral Designer from House of Flowers Gift Shop. She was an active and devoted member of Margaret Hank Cumberland Presbyterian Church where she was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Woman’s Ministry.
Chris is survived by her daughter, Marta D. Leneave and husband, Gary Don, of Paducah, Kentucky; two sons, Tim Deweese and wife, Patty, of Prospect, Kentucky and Brad Deweese of Paducah, Kentucky; two grandchildren, Christine Paige Paul and husband, Luke, of Newnan, Georgia and Claydon Glenn Leneave of Paducah, Kentucky; great grandson, Jackson Hays Paul; sister, Joyce Turner of Cunningham, Kentucky and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Glenn E. Deweese; four sisters, five brothers, and her parents.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Rev. Chris Fleming officiating. Entombment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
