Christopher Lee Parrott, 49 of Hickory, passed away peacefully on March 19, 2024, in Paducah, Kentucky. He was born on October 2, 1974, in Paducah, KY to Cloyld Kent Parrott and Patsy Jean Singleton.
Christopher's formative years were spent in the neighboring town of Metropolis, Illinois, where he attended local schools before attending and graduating from Graves County High School. His commitment to service was evident early on, as he went on to honorably serve his country in the United States Navy. Christopher's time in the Navy showcased his bravery and honed his skills that he would later apply in his career as a carpenter. He loved traveling and his love for baseball was unparalleled. He enjoyed attending and cheering on his favorite St. Louis Cardinals and University of Kentucky Wildcats.
Chris is survived by his three children, Tyler Parrott of New York, Ashley (Randy) Rose Lapo, and Joanna Parrott both of Oak Harbor, WA; his grandchildren, Evan Parrott and Alice Parrott; his father, Cloyld Kent Parrott of Hickory, KY; Siblings, Kenna Jean (Robert A.) Lentz of Greenville, IN, Lisa (Jimmy) Murphy of Nashville, TN, and Nathan Kuhnert of Norman, Oklahoma; Cheryl (Paul) West of Mayfield, KY, Jerry (Kathryn) Lindsey of Germany and Terry Lindsey of Florida and step-mother, Carolyn Parrott of Mayfield, KY.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Rebecca Parrott; his mother, Patsy Jean and his step-father, Kenneth Kuhnert.
A Celebration of Chris's life will be at a later date. Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah is in charge of local arrangements.
