Christy Bingham Gaines was born in Paducah, Kentucky, on October 14, 1972, and passed away on November 25, 2025, at the Ray & Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center in Paducah.
Christy attended college to train as an oral surgery assistant and went on to work as a dental assistant for 13 years, spending many of those years alongside Dr. Patrick Ward. She took great pride in her work and the relationships she built throughout her career.
Christy had a deep love for the outdoors. She enjoyed caring for her flowers and tending to her pool, and she took great pride in keeping the “perfect yard.” She loved her animals, especially chickens, horses, and dogs. Christy was known for her generous spirit and kind heart; she was the type of person who was always there to lend a hand. Above all, her greatest joy in life came from her daughters and her grandson.
She is survived by her two daughters, Haley Marie Boggs of Marshall County, KY, and Isabella Christine Gaines of Paducah, KY; her parents, Randall and Nola Rodgers of Ledbetter, KY; her sister, Dawn Garcia of Mesa, Arizona; her significant other of 14 years, Shane Smith of Paducah, KY; her step-sister, Tina Probst of Florida; and her step-brother, Terry Rodgers of Florida. She also leaves behind one grandson, Braxton Boggs, as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Tracy E. Gaines, and her father, Steven Bingham.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 29, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Milner & Orr Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Paducah.
