Clemie Owens, 91, of Bardwell, Kentucky, passed away at Mercy Health Lourdes, in Paducah Kentucky, on October, 19, 2025. Clemie was born on July 29, 1934 to the late John Francis and Josephine O’Neill.
A devoted mother and member of St. Jerome Catholic Church, Clemie dedicated her life to caring for others. She lovingly raised eight children and filled her home with warmth and laughter. An avid homemaker, she enjoyed knitting, crocheting, sewing, and canning, as well as tending to her beautiful vegetable and flower gardens. Above all, her greatest joy came from cooking for her family and spending time with her grandchildren.
Clemie’s heart for others extended beyond her home. She gave back to her community through years of volunteering at voting polls, blood drives, and as a member of the Homemakers Club. Her kindness and generosity touched everyone who knew her.
She will be dearly missed and fondly remembered for her loving spirit and the care she gave to all.
Clemie is survived by five daughters, Cathy (Frank) Gauci of Taylor, Michigan, Debbie (Dennis) Devlin of Easley, South Carolina, Janet Rawlings of Walton Hills, Ohio, Linda (Joel) McGrath of Stockbridge, Michigan, and Beth (Scott) Owens of Arlington, Kentucky; two sons, Jerry Owens of Arlington, Kentucky and Bill (Jackie) Owens of Taylor, Michigan; one brother, Walter (Ethel) O’Neill of Arlington, Kentucky; 14 grandchildren, Kevin Rosner, Kelly Rosner, Nicholas Rosner, GeriLyn (Brett) Fowler, Troy Devlin, Adam (Victoria) Devlin, Mandy (Flint) Schuller, David Rawlings, Heather (Chris) Reiner, Michael (Jenny) Owens, Trent McGrath, Trevor (Gen) McGrath, Ty (Emily) Owens, Misty (Adam) McAnlis; and 23 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Gerald Niland Owens; one son, Bob Owens; one sister, Dorthy Wilson; five brothers, John O’Neill, Owen O’Neill, Mike O’Neill, George O’Neill, and Tom O’Neill; and one grandson, Daniel Rawlings; and her parents.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Bardwell with Father Darrell Venters officiating. Burial will follow at Springhill Baptist Church Cemetery in Clinton, Kentucky.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Bardwell.
Visitation will also be held from 10:00 am until the 11:00 am service time on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Bardwell.
