James Darin Langston, 43, of Lexington, Kentucky, passed away on August 30, 2025, at UK Healthcare Hospital in Lexington.
Darin, as he was known to his family and friends, was born on January 18, 1982, to his parents, James E. “Jim” and Tama K. “Tammie” Langston. Darin grew up in Paducah, Kentucky, attending St. John the Evangelist Elementary School. He graduated from St. Mary High School in the Class of 2000. Darin was a Barber at The Illustrated Barber Shop in Lexington.
Darin will always be remembered for his fun-loving sense of humor and his quick wittiness. He always had the biggest heart and wanted to help anyone that needed it. Darin loved being with his family and friends and was usually the life of the party. He loved murder mysteries with monotone voice-overs and listening to his favorite musicians, Rancid and OutKast.
As Darin grew up, his favorite sports were hunting, fishing, skateboarding, playing baseball, and later, men’s league softball. He enjoyed being outdoors and planting gardens. The older he became, fishing definitely was his favorite overall, as he went every chance he got, which was nearly every day. That is why it is so fitting that when it was his time to leave this world, he did so by doing what he loved best, as he suffered a heart attack while fishing.
In addition to his parents, Darin is survived by one brother, Brandon Langston (Kelly), Nashville, TN, one sister, Bethany Hendrickson (Will), Paducah, one niece and three nephews, Cadence and Garrison Hendrickson, Paducah, James and Paul Langston, Nashville, his soulmate and companion, Tamicca Carter, her sons, Aryan Bailey and Donavan Wallace, whom he loved and cared for as his own, all from Lexington, and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and his dogs, Leon and Molina.
Darin was preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert and Kathleen Hard, George and Charlene Langston, and his dogs, Jawz and Sydney.
