Deborah Elaine Franklin, age 71, of Smithland, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, April 19, 2024, at her residence.

Deborah was born in Rensselaer, Indiana, on August 4, 1952, to the late Lawrence D. Warran Sr. and Belvia R. Phillips Warran. Deborah was, a treasured caregiver and a devoted member of the Lighthouse Pentecostal Church,  She left this earth to be with her Heavenly Father, leaving behind a legacy of unwavering faith and love. Her commitment to her community is evidenced through her vital role in establishing the Lighthouse Christian Academy, where she served with grace and diligence. Gifted with talented hands, she found joy and serenity in cross stitching, quilting, and sewing-crafts she poured her heart into. Her greatest pleasure, however, was found in the laughter and company of her beloved grandchildren, with whom she shared her boundless affection and gentle spirit. Throughout her life, Deborah exemplified loving kindness and a faith-filled fortitude that inspired those around her. She devoted her life to serving the Lord, and her presence was a testament to her deep and abiding love for Him. Deborah will be deeply missed, yet her light will continue to shine in the lives she touched.

Deborah is survived by her daughter, Amanda D. Franklin (Randy) of Kuttawa, Kentucky; her two sons, Chad D. Franklin (Lashawna) and Eric S. Franklin (Misty) both of Smithland, Kentucky; two sisters, Brenda S. Cox (Ron) of Bradenton, Florida and Rhea D. Burnett (Kevin) of Rensselaer, Indiana; three brothers, Lawrence D. Warran Jr. (Shawna) of Kevil, Kentucky, Mark A. Warran (Shelly) of Rensselaer, Indian, and Tim L. Warran (Sheryl) of Wheatfield, Indiana; and ten grandchildren, Haley Culp, Brock Culp Ericca Franklin, Caitlin Franklin, Tyler Franklin, Garrett Franklin, Hunter Franklin, Kainen Franklin, Andrew Nethery, and Carston Nethery; four great-grandchildren, Gauge McClelland, Kensley Carter, Kylee Nethery, and Khloee Nethery; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of twelve years, Jerry A. Franklin; sister, Violet R. Nowling; and her parents.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at Lola Pentecostal Church in Lola, Kentucky, with Brother Mark Warran officiating.  Burial will follow at Lola Pentecostal Cemetery.  

Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 23, 2024, from 11:00 A.M. until the service time of 1:00 PM. at Lola Pentecostal Church in Lola, Kentucky.
