Donna Cunningham Walker, 74, passed away on August 25, 2026, following complications from injuries sustained in a tragic automobile accident. She was born on February 28, 1952, and was a lifelong member of the McCracken County community. Donna was a graduate of Reidland High School in McCracken County.
Donna was married to Rickie Walker Sr., who preceded her in death. Together, they shared three children, Rachel Walker, Emily Walker, and Rickie Walker.
Donna was a hardworking woman who spent the last 25 years of her working life at Paducah Auto Auction, where she was a familiar and valued part of the auction family.
Family was everything to Donna. More than anything in this world, she loved being with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She treasured every moment she could spend with them and took great pride in watching her family grow.
One of Donna's favorite things to do was attend ball games. She never wanted to miss a game and loved cheering on her family. Whether it was a big game or just another day at the ball field, Donna loved being there, watching from the stands, and supporting the people she loved.
Donna also had a special place in her heart for her dogs. Her beloved companion Daisy May was by her side for more than 13 years, and Duke had been her faithful companion for the last nine years. They were much more than pets to Donna-they were part of her family and brought her tremendous love and companionship.
Donna was a very good friend to many. She had a warm and caring nature and never needed a special occasion to let someone know she was thinking about them. You never knew when Donna might simply pop in to see you. Those unexpected visits were just part of who she was, and many people will remember the joy of seeing her show up at their door.
Donna is survived by her three children, Rachel Walker, Emily Walker, and Rickie Walker. She leaves behind seven grandchildren: Lashae Danielle Taylor, Candyce Taylor, Jordan (Josh) Brockwell, Connor McCallister, Dax McCallister, Braisyn Walker, and Tate (Dalton) Collins. She was a proud great-grandmother to nine great-grandchildren: Jayce Champion, Alayna Champion, Rhett Taylor, Charlie Sowell, Scarlett Sowell, Braelynn Kennedy, Odyn Wheatley, Adaleine Brockwell, and Ambria Brockwell. Donna is also survived by her brother, Ronnie Cunningham.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rickie Walker Sr.; her parents, Terry Pete Cunningham and Lena Bell Cunningham; and her siblings, Steven Cunningham and Kathy Cunningham.
Donna will be remembered for her strong spirit, her generous heart, her love of family, her devotion to her dogs, her presence at countless ball games, and those unexpected visits that made people feel loved simply because she stopped by.
Her greatest legacy is the family she loved so deeply. The lessons she taught, the memories she created, the laughter she shared, and the love she gave will continue through every child, grandchild, and great-grandchild who was blessed to know her.
Donna's absence leaves a place in the hearts of her family and friends that can never be filled. But her memory will live on in every ball game where her family gathers, every unexpected visit remembered with a smile, and every story told about the woman who loved her family more than anything. Rest peacefully, Mom. We will miss you more than words can say. Your love will remain with us forever, and you will always be a part of our hearts.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, September 11, 2026, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah, with Rev. Jeremy Beggs officiating. Visitation will also be held from 5:00-8:00 PM on Thursday, September 10, 2026 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
