Edith Lee Solomon, age 84, of Bardwell, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, March 17, 2024, at the Ray & Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center in Paducah.
Edith was born in Bardwell on July 20, 1939, to the late Grandville and Hazel Jennings Watson. She was a member of Faith Missionary Baptist Church in Paducah, where she played the organ for many years. Edith loved the Lord, her family, and her church in that order. She was a woman who loved to stay busy and had many talents. Edith was a gifted quilter, enjoyed sewing, and was also an incredible cook. In her downtime, she loved to relax with a good book. She meant everything to her family and will be remembered as being a the most loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Edith is survived by her three daughters, Donna (Clyde) Curtsinger of Bardwell, Pam (Mike) Manker of Beaver Creek, Ohio, and Dianna (Warren) Dunn of Bardwell; two sons, Mike Solomon of O’Fallon, Illinois and Phillip (Debbie) Solomon of Edwardsville, Illinois; one sister, Shelia (Bill) Fraser of Bardwell; 12 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, William Melvin Solomon; a son, William DeWight Solomon; one sister, Linda Willis; two brothers, Nelson and Kenneth Watson; and her parents.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 pm on Thursday, March 21, 2024, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Bardwell with Bro. Harold Draper officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until the service time of 12:00 pm on Thursday, March 21, 2024, at the funeral home.
