Edward Wayne "Bud" Fleming passed away peacefully on February 20, 2026, at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, Indiana. He was born on July 28, 1940, in Gage, Kentucky, to the late Harl Fleming and Maudie Mae Franklin.

Bud was a member of Lovelaceville Baptist Church. After a fulfilling 35-year career at General/Continental Tire, Bud retired, but he never slowed down. He poured his energy into his second passion, cattle farming, where his tireless work ethic and love for the land were evident to all who knew him. Bud's hands were rarely still, and he loved all aspects of farm life.

A man of many interests, Bud enjoyed fishing and hunting as a way of connecting with nature. Bud's presence at the casino was marked by his infectious laughter and the twinkle in his eye with every roll of the dice or shuffle of the cards. Bud was known for his captivating storytelling and for trying to pull a fast one on his target.

Perhaps most endearing was Bud's role as the family cook, especially for his Sunday dinners. These meals were more than just a time to eat; they were a gathering of hearts, a time for sharing stories, laughter, and creating memories that his family will treasure forever.

Bud is survived by his two sons, Brent (Carolyn) Fleming of Bardwell, KY and Corey Fleming of Lovelaceville, KY; his two step-sons, Brad Robison of Blandville, KY and Michael Robison of Metropolis, IL; his seven grandchildren, Jimmy Fleming, Britany Florence, Michael Fleming, Jasey (Adam) Harper, CarLee Fleming, Olivia Robison and Amanda (Brandon) Cole; his twelve great-grandchildren, Trinity Fleming, Addielynn Hayes, Braelee Tomlinson, Madison Fleming, Cassidy Fleming, Easton Fleming, Grayden Harper, Wells Harper, Alleahonna Cox, Aiden Fleming, Riley Jo Thurston and Elizabeth Cole along with several nieces and nephews.

Bud was preceded in death by his wife of 25 years, Janice Pearl Fleming, his parents, two sons, David Fleming and Darin Fleming; two sisters, Mary Evelyn Griffin and Joyce Crump; and a brother, Lyndell Fleming.

Funeral services will be at 12:00 PM on Monday, February 23, 2026, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Rev. Jason Logsdon officiating. Burial will follow at Lovelaceville Cemetery in Lovelaceville, KY. Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 PM Sunday, February 22, 2026, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
