Edwina Mae Fouts passed away on September 4, 2025 at the age of 92. She was the daughter of Fred and Drucilla Bagsby Wilson. Edwina was born on August 15, 1933 in Paducah, Kentucky. She will be remembered for her tireless dedication to health care.
After graduating with her Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from Marquette University, Edwina worked as a registered nurse for 57 years. She continued her education with graduate courses in the psychology of death and dying at the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio.
Edwina was a proud member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church and was a pastoral associate of the Rosary Chapel for over 27 years. She was proud to be recognized as a Kentucky Colonel and a Duchess of Paducah. While working in Paducah as a nurse, she received the Award of Excellence from Lourdes Hospital.
Edwina is survived by one brother and one sister. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Fred Wilson, Jr., who died while serving in the military.
A graveside funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 at 10 A.M. at the Mount Carmel Cemetery in Paducah.
