Ellen Louise Brown, known affectionately as Mama Lou to her grandchildren and dear friends, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at Parkview Nursing & Rehabilitation Center at the age of 92.

Louise was born on November 14, 1933, to the late Ray and Veva Irene Peck Ramage in Livingston County.

Throughout her life, Louise was deeply invested in her education and spiritual growth, remaining an active and cherished member of the Arcadia United Methodist Church. Her faith was a cornerstone of her existence, as she embraced its principles in her daily interactions and commitments.

Her professional life was characterized by a strong work ethic and service to others. Louise retired as a respected Manager of the Drury Inn. Prior to that, she had made significant contributions as an employee of Citizens Bank and as a valued team member at the Paducah Area Chamber of Commerce.

Honored as a Kentucky Colonel and as a Duchess of Paducah, Louise's contributions to her community were recognized and celebrated by both the state and the city she loved. These prestigious honors were a testament to her unwavering commitment to service and to the ideals she upheld throughout her life.

Beyond her professional and civic achievements, Louise was known for her vibrant spirit and love of life. She cherished her dogs, especially her loyal companion, Rico, who provided her with comfort and joy. Her love for travel allowed her to explore new places and experience the world's vast beauty, but it was the time spent with family and friends that she valued above all. The warmth and happiness she found in their company were the true highlights of her journey.
