Freda Jett, 90, of Paducah, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, November 24, 2023 at Charter Senior Living of Paducah.
Mrs. Jett was born on May 8, 1933 to the late, George and Belva Hicks Fitzsimmons in Olive Hill, Kentucky. Freda was a full time mom and a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church. She was a volunteer at Lourdes Hospital and The Senior Center of Paducah/McCracken County.
Freda is survived by a daughter, Connie Overstreet and her husband, Greg of Paducah; two sons, Don W. Jett and his wife, Jeannie of Chattanooga, Tennessee and Greg Jett of Hobe Sound, Florida; six grandchildren, Mike Jett, Whitney Cruse, Wes Overstreet, Deanna Todorovic, Gregory Jett and Jared Jett; four great-grandchildren, Ollie Todorovic, Graham Cruse, Gavin Cruse, Brennley Jett; a sister, Nancy Vine of Kansas City, Missouri; a brother, Steve Fitzsimmons of Lenexa, Kansas; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald B. Jett; a sister, JoAnn Marsh; a brother, Thomas James Fitzsimmons.
A memorial mass will be held at 12:00 pm on Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at the Works of Mercy Chapel at St. Thomas More Catholic Church. Burial will follow at St. Henry’s Catholic Church Cemetery in Hardin, Kentucky.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 am until the service hour of 12:00 pm on Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at the Works of Mercy Chapel at St. Thomas More Catholic Church.
