Frederick “Conrad” Rehberg, age 90, of Paducah, KY, passed away Monday, December 15, 2025.
A native of Scarsdale, NY, he graduated from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Worcester, MA, with a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering. He was employed by Air Products for 29 years and by Apex Engineering for 24 years. While at Apex Engineering, he acquired his Professional Engineering Certification.
Travel was a priority in his life. With his family, he made the U.S. and Canadian National Parks summer vacation destinations, and they spent many Christmases together on the beaches of South Carolina. Numerous trips were made to Hawaii, Alaska, and Europe, including barging down rivers, and hiking in Scotland and Switzerland.
In retirement, genealogy became a hobby. He spent hours researching the thousands of relatives unearthed through ancestry websites, as he always enjoyed solving a mystery. Other pastimes included reading, golf, photography, and fly-fishing.
He will be fondly remembered by his family as a loving husband and father.
Conrad is survived by his wife of 67 years, Nancy Rehberg of Paducah; his two daughters, Sarah Rehberg Swisher (Rick) and Ann-Margret Rehberg; two step-granddaughters, Kate Swisher and Carolyn Swisher Smith (Austin), and two step-great-granddaughters. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alexander Frederick Rehberg and Marguerite Morrisey Rehberg; and his sister, Sandra Jean Weir.
There will be no visitation or services. A private family service will be held at a later date.
