Virginia "Gina" Sue Stanley Fancher, was born July 3, 1966, in Jackson, Tennessee, the daughter of Charles Lamont Stanley and Martha Ann Gass Stanley. She passed away on February 17, 2026.
A resident of Benton, Kentucky, she was predeceased in death by her father, Charles Stanley; her mother, Martha Stanley; her son, Charles David Powell; her daughter, Rachel Nicole Diamond; and her sister, Victoria Stanley Sanders.
She is survived by her long-time companion, Bobby Bassie; her son, Joshua Andrew Hill (Paige); her sisters, Charlene Cowden (Bill), Shirley Stanley, and Amanda Phillips (Coty); her granddaughters Annah Powell, Baylee Powell, Chloe Rouse, Dalyla Rouse, Emilie Bray, and Faithlyn Bray; her nephews Tyler Cowden and Zachary Cowden; several great nieces and nephews; and her daughter-in-law Heather Bray.
Gina loved life. She enjoyed spending time with her friends and grandchildren. One of her greatest pleasures was her fur babies. She had four dogs and loved going on rides with them. She was a staunch supporter of the Marshall County Humane Society. Gina was a former employee of Artco and loved being on the river as a cook on the towboat, the Inec Andrea.
A memorial service will be held at a later date to be determined by the family.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Humane Society of Marshall County, 6301 US Highway 68 East, Benton, KY 42025.
