Glenda Joy Grace Ezell, a cherished wife, loving mother, and adored Nana passed away on August 8, 2025, at the Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center. Glenda was a great gift to her parents, Carl and Hazel Grace. She was born on September 18, 1941, in White Plains, Kentucky.
Glenda demonstrated her commitment to her faith and community during her time at both Heartland Church and First Baptist Church of Paducah. Alongside her beloved husband, Mike, she taught the young married Sunday School class while at Heartland Church, guiding many through the early stages of their married lives with wisdom and compassion. She was a woman of many talents and interests. Not only was Glenda an excellent seamstress and decorator, but she was also a true people person, with a gift for making everyone she met feel special and valued.
One of Glenda's most cherished roles was that of grandmother. She loved spending time with her grandchildren. Her support extended far beyond her immediate family as she cheered fervently for the Kentucky Wildcats. Her passion for her team was infectious, and she enjoyed cheering them on, surrounded by family and friends.
Her musical talents were another source of joy and comfort, both to her and to all who had the privilege of hearing her play. Glenda was an accomplished organ and piano player, and her music was an integral part of her life and ministry.
The three years spent living in Germany while Mike served in the military were among Glenda's most treasured memories.
Glenda will be remembered not only for her fair and equitable nature but also for her unwavering loyalty to her friends and family. She left an indelible mark on the hearts of all she touched with her kindness, grace, and love.
