Glen Eugene Mallory lived a life marked by service, dedication, and a love for simple joys. Born on January 1, 1947, in Paducah, Kentucky, Glen embraced others with kindness during his seventy-nine years. On January 5th, 2026, he completed his earthly journey, leaving behind a legacy filled with stories, laughter, and an unwavering spirit of generosity.
A retired electrician and former Assistant Superintendent at Paducah Water Works, Glen was respected for his work ethic and leadership. His tenure in the workplace was paralleled by his dedication to his country, having served honorably in the U.S. Army in Korea.
As a lover of the outdoors, in his younger days, Glen found peace at the water's edge, fishing rod in hand, waiting for the day’s catch. His evenings were often spent with the familiar faces of Matt Dillon in "Gunsmoke" and Sheriff Andy Taylor in "The Andy Griffith Show." However, when the St. Louis Cardinals were playing, all else faded away as he cheered for his beloved baseball team.
A natural storyteller, Glen captivated friends and family with tales that kept listeners on the edge of their seats. His intelligence and mechanical ingenuity enabled him to repair anything from old radios to classic cars. Indeed, he built his own home-a testament to his craftsmanship-a space that welcomed all with open arms.
Glen's generosity was as authentic as his skill as a repairman. He was known as a man who would give you the shirt off his back without a second thought, a true measure of his kind-heartedness.
Glen is survived by his daughter, Tammi D. Mallory of Houston, Texas; one sister, June Whitt of Indiana; one brother, Harold (JoAnn) Mallory of Calvert City; a special family friend, Lorie Stephenson of Farley; honorary grandkids, Millie and Jackson Reed; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 10 A.M. on Thursday, January 8, 2026, at the Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of gifts to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
