J.P. "Fuzz" Crenshaw Jr., 81 of West Paducah, KY passed away Monday, March 2, 2026, at Baptist Health Paducah. He was born on March 25, 1944, in Paducah, Kentucky, to the late J.P. Crenshaw Sr. and Mary Ellen (Jane) Neal.
Fuzz began his career as a roofer, dedicating many years to the craft. His hard work and commitment to excellence earned him the respect of his peers and the community. As a proud member of the Roofers Union. In addition to his roofing career, Fuzz was an accomplished blacksmith and farrier. His love for horses was not just a hobby but a passion that he pursued with the same fervor he gave to his professional life. Raising horses and ponies, one of Fuzz's greatest joys was driving his horse-drawn wagon. Above all, Fuzz was a family man. His grandchildren were the light of his life, and he cherished every moment spent with them.
J.P. is survived by his three daughters, Kim Dowdy, Melody (Jim) Chapman and Amanda (James Stephens) Crenshaw; his three sons, Danny (Kathy) Crenshaw, Joe (Mendy) Crenshaw and John Crenshaw; his sixteen grandchildren; his seventeen great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; his three sisters, Emma Dixon, Martha Bell and Patricia Roher; one brother, Johnny Crenshaw along with several nieces and nephews.
J.P. was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Doug Crenshaw; four sisters, Shirley Kortz, Diane Neblett, Sharon Crenshaw and Barbara Nell Crenshaw; a brother, Michael “Mikey” Crenshaw.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Wednesday, March 4, 2026 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with J.R. Rohrer officiating. Burial will follow at Palestine Cemetery in West Paducah, KY. Visitation will be from 12:00-2:00 PM Wednesday, March 4, 2026 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
