Jack David Diehl

Jack David Diehl of Boaz, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, January 19, 2023 at Baptist Health Paudcah.
 
Mr. Diehl was born on May 18, 1955.  He was 67 years and 8 months old.  Jack was of the Catholic faith and was a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church.  His early career started out at Sambo’s Restaurant in the early 1970’s in Paducah.  He later became a laborer and machine oprator for ICGRR out of Paducah in the mid 1970’s.  Jack’s hobbies included playing guitar and singing.  He listened to Classic Rock, Bluegrass and Folk music.  He was interested in astronomy, including telescope viewing.  He loved sci-fi shows and movies, especially Star Trek the orginal show and Next Generation.  He also had a love for reading books in a series including, sci-fi books, thriller, and horror stories.  He loved tinkering in the garage and was a self-taught mechanic.  Jack enjoyed spending time with his kids and grandkids.  He was always easy to talk to and was always there to lend an ear if you needed it.
 
Jack is survived by his wife of 53 years, Darlene Farmer Diehl; two sons, Jack David Diehl Jr. of Paducah and Lewis Ray Diehl and his partner Melissa Milatz of Calvert City; one daugher, Mandy Davis and her husband Micah Davis of Paducah; eight grandchildren, Dean Thompson of Paducah, Tiffany Diehl of Paducah, Sidney Davis of Belleville, Illinois, Isiac Diehl of Marion, Kentucky, Trinity Davis and Ethan Davis both of Paducah, Adrean Davis of Benton and Ronald Diehl of Calvert City; two sisters, Barbara Price and her husband Cecil Price and Teresa Jones all of Willow Springs, North Carolina; one brother, Ricky Diehl of Willow Springs, North Carolina; several nieces and nephews.
 
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Roy Lewis Diehl and Susie Mae Diehl, Guy McElrath and Coma Lily McElrath; a brother, Roy Lewis Diehl III.  His parents were Roy Lewis Diehl Jr. and Anna Laura Diehl.
 
Memorial services will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, January 26, 2023 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Paducah with Rev. Don Watkins officiating.  Burial will be held at a later date.
 
Visitation will be held from 11:00 am until the service time of 1:00 pm on Thursday, January 26, 2023 at Milner & Orr Funeral and Cremation Services of Paducah.
