Jacob Victor Hill, a bright light and profound presence in the lives of those who knew him, passed away due to a tragic accident at the age of 17 on September 9, 2025.
Throughout his educational journey at McCracken County High School and currently taking classes at WKYTC, Jacob stood out as a committed student who was on the brink of graduation. His academic excellence was complemented by his involvement as a Paducah Bank Teen Ambassador, Future Business Leader of America, and Fellowship of Christian Athletes, roles in which he showcased his leadership and dedication to his peers and community. Jacob's faith and commitment to service were evident through his active participation in Heartland Church and Young Life. Jacob was also an avid University of Tennessee Vols fan and planned to attend there following high school.
Jacob's passions extended beyond his academics and community service. He loved all forms of hunting and was an avid outdoorsman, with turkey hunting being his most cherished pursuit. Fishing trips and water sports were among the many activities that kept him connected to nature and to those he loved. In winter, he was just as likely to be found masterfully navigating slopes on his skis as he was deer or duck hunting. Jacob was dedicated to fitness and took pride in staying active and challenging himself in everything he did. His enthusiasm for life and adventure was contagious.
With a personality that could illuminate any room, Jacob was admired for being unfailingly funny, authentic, and passionate about everything he set his mind to. His respectful nature made him a joy to be around, and his calm, laid-back demeanor provided a comforting presence to those in his company. He never met a stranger, and had an ability to bring people together, always surrounded by a wide circle of friends and family who loved him dearly.
Jacob is survived by his mother, Kathy Hill; his twin sister, Olivia Hill, and three brothers, Graham Hill, Seth Hill and Cooper Hill; his maternal grandparents, Hilton and Betty Seay; and his paternal grandmother, Phyllis Smith (Rafe); uncles, Vic Hill (Christa), Ron (Ann) and Bert Seay; aunt, Paige Rose; and several cousins.
