Jane Edwards, age 99, of Lone Oak, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, January 15, 2026, at Parkview Nursing and Rehab Center. Jane was born in Clarksville, Tennessee, on May 16, 1926, to the late Irl Brown and Ruby Winn Brown. Jane was a long-time member of the First Christian Church of Paducah, where she served on various committees. She was a faithful Bible reader and read it daily. Jane loved the outdoors and working in her yard. She was a member of the Rolling Hills Country Club and enjoyed playing in many women's tournaments. Jane was dedicated to her family and the many summer vacations they were able to take, and keeping her grandchildren was special to her.
Survivors include two daughters, Mary Jane (Bill) Sanderson of Lone Oak, Kentucky, and Debra Anne (David) Evans of Paducah, Kentucky; two grandsons, Jonathan David (Lynette) Evans and William Matthew (Haleigh) Sanderson; five great-grandchildren; Dylan Kielber, Jonathan Hunter Evans, Keeley Evans, Margaret Jane Sanderson, and Marlo June Sanderson; two great-great-grandchildren, Leon Scarborough and Adalyn Scarborough.
Preceding her in death were her husband, John Helm Edwards; one sister, Ann Barker; three brothers, Donald Brown, Irl Brown, and William Brown; and her parents.
Memorial services will be held at a later date, with burial to follow at the Maple Grove Cemetery in Russellville, Kentucky.
