Jane Hall Russell, 92, of Wickliffe, Kentucky, passed away at Charter Senior Living Center of Paducah on December 30, 2025. Jane was born on December 7, 1933, to the late Charles and Mabel Hall.
Jane found her greatest joy in caring for her family and creating a warm, welcoming home. She worked in government offices at the Ballard County Courthouse. Later she and her husband retired early to enjoy many travel adventures and to focus on home and landscaping on their farm outside of Wickliffe. Jane was a faithful and devoted member of Wickliffe First Baptist Church, where she dearly loved her church family and remained actively involved throughout her life. She was also a member of the Homemakers, finding fellowship and purpose among friends who shared her values.
She and her husband shared an extraordinary 71 years of marriage before his passing in January 2025. Together, they traveled extensively, visiting many places around the world. Of all their travels, Jane’s favorite destination was the Holy Land, a place of deep spiritual meaning to her, which she was blessed to visit three times with her husband. Family meant everything to Jane. She especially cherished time spent with her grandchildren, whose presence brought her endless joy. Known for her sense of humor, bright smile, and natural photogenic charm, Jane had a way of lifting the spirits of those around her.
Jane loved arts and crafts and was a talented artist who could draw exceptionally well. She also adored flowers and had a true passion for shopping, famously able to outshop just about anyone.
Jane Hall Russell will be remembered as a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother, faithful servant of God, and an avid homemaker whose life was marked by love, beauty, and grace.
Jane is survived by her daughter, Lisa Russell of Wickliffe; two sisters, Ann Gridley of Paducah and Norma (Paul) Campbell of South Florida; one brother, Van Dale Hall of Paducah; and seven grandchildren, Claire (Noah) Atchley, Sarah Glasgow, Robert Alexander Russell, Cynthia Dotson, Angelia Dotson, Desiree Dotson, and Kai Smith.
