Janith McKinney Gibson, age 82, of Melber, Kentucky passed away on Sunday, January 22, 2023 at Mercy Health - Lourdes Hospital.
Mrs. Gibson was born in Livingston County on September 6, 1940 to the late Herbert “Sam” and Pauline McKinney. She was a retired baker, having worked over 12 years at Colonial Bakery. She was a faithful member of Gospel Assembly Church where she was very involved and loved to worship with her church family. She loved to play with animals (especially her Miniature Yorkie, Tiggy) and had an exceptional green thumb that allowed her to take care of plants of all kind. She will be remembered as being full of love for everyone, someone who loved to be loved and the sweetest person you could ever meet.
Janith is survived by her husband of 40 years, William "Dub" Gibson and her son, Rodger Cunningham and wife, Cynthia of Hopkinsville, Kentucky.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, David McKinney.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, January 26, 2023 at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Homes with Rev. Ensel Edmonds and Rev. Mike Hunt officiating. Burial will follow at Lowes Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Wednesday, January 25, 2023 at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Homes.
