Jarett Scott Denkins, born on November 27, 1972, in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, passed away peacefully on March 15, 2026, in Kevil, Kentucky.
Throughout Jarett’s life, he had a love and passion for music. Jarett developed a remarkable ability to play the guitar, a skill that brought him both peace and the admiration of everyone who had the pleasure of listening. Beyond playing, Jarett dedicated his time to building guitars with a care that could only come from a kindred spirit of the very instrument that framed who he was. Music was not the only thing that made him who he was; Jarett carried the same enthusiasm into the world of sports. An avid supporter of the Cleveland Browns, he brought loyalty to every game, wearing the team's colors proudly and cheering them on through every high and low. Similarly, Jarett's dedication was mirrored in his passion for the Kentucky Wildcats basketball team, cheering on his favorite college basketball team.
Jarett is survived by his loving wife of five years, Jessica Wilks Denkins of Kevil, Kentucky; a daughter, Taylor Wilks of Kevil; two sons, Logan Denkins of Dexter, Missouri, and William Denkins of Kevil; his parents, William D. Denkins and Glenda Grubbs Story; two brothers, William Kip (Peggy) Denkins of Paducah, and Scotty (Patti) Denkins of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; and two nieces.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, March 20, 2026, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Paducah, with Bro. Larry Buchanan officiating.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until the service hour of 1:00 PM on Friday, March 20, 2026, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Paducah.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of contributions to the McCracken County High School Trap Team, 6530 Old Hwy 60, Paducah, KY 42001.
