Jean Coil Darnell

Jeannine “Jean” Coil Darnell, age 91, passed away peacefully at 8:50 a.m. Sunday, March 17, 2024 at the Life Care Center in LaCenter, Kentucky.

Jean was born on September 19, 1932 to Charles Rose and Lena Mable Roberts Rose.  She was a long time member of the Lone Oak Church of Christ.  She was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking and family gatherings with children and grandchildren.  Jean’s hobbies included working in the yard, gardening, dancing, playing cards, and listening to music. She loved watching the University of Kentucky Wildcats basketball. The family would like to express a big, heartfelt “Thank You” to the staff at Life Care Center for the love and care shown to their mother during her stay there.
 
Survivors include her husband, Billy Bob Darnell, one daughter, Dorcas (Mickie) Thomason; three sons Jacob (Susan) Coil, Greg (Kristi) Coil all of Paducah, and David (Julie) Coil of Calvert City, seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
 
Preceding her in death were her parents, first husband, William Earl Lindsey, second husband, John Coil; one daughter, Roseanne Lindsey Moore, three sisters and three brothers.
 
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens with Jerry Senn officiating.  There will be no public visitation. Friends are invited to meet at the cemetery.
