Joe Frank Henderson, 91, of Milburn, Kentucky, passed away on March 26, 2026, at The Bungalows Assisted Living in Mayfield, Kentucky. Joe was born on July 7, 1934, to the late Lee and Jessie Henderson.
Joe retired after 28 years from General Tire, but his true life’s work was on the farm—a place he cherished deeply. Right up until the end, he could be found on a tractor, doing what he loved, just a month before his passing.
Joe was a man of strong faith and a dedicated, lifelong member of Milburn Baptist Church. He was known for his steady presence there, often joking that there were “assigned seats,” as he faithfully sat in the same spot year after year. He also honorably served his country in the United States Army for two years, a time in his life that he carried with pride.
Above all, Joe loved his family. His grandchildren meant the world to him, but his great-grandchildren held a special place in his heart and brought him endless joy. He especially treasured Sundays spent surrounded by family, watching his great-grandchildren play, and making memories that will be cherished forever.
Joe will be remembered as a kind, hardworking, and good man—someone who found happiness in simple things, in his faith, his family, and the farm he loved so much.
Joe is survived by his daughter, Kimberly Crooks of Milburn; three sisters, Helen Trainer of Port Orange, Florida, Peggy Allgood of Paducah, and Joy (Jeff) Jackson of Paducah; two grandchildren, Meagan (Kirk) Arnold of Milburn, and Ethan (Sarah) Crooks of Milburn; five great-grandchildren, Paislee Arnold, Cameron Crooks, Rhett Arnold, Krew Arnold, and Finn Crooks; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandson, Travis Crooks; two sisters, Nell Pearson and Sue Henderson; and his parents.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Arlington with brother Glenn Stewart officiating. Burial will follow at Milburn Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the service at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Arlington.
