John Harmon, age 88, of Paducah, Kentucky passed away at 2:15 p.m. Sunday, November 23, 2025 at his home.

John was born in Billings, Montana on May 13, 1937 to William Harmon and Minnie Bridges Harmon. John retired from the military after serving three years in U.S. Army and seventeen years in the United States Air Force. He was a member of the Lone Oak Church of Christ and a member of the Lone Oak Lions Club. John loved going to Culver’s to meet and visit with friends. He spent many hours watching western movies and Marshal Dillion.

Survivors include his wife, Jessie Kay Sharp Harmon; one step-daughter, Terressa (Shane) Maxfield of Reidland, Kentucky; two step-grandchildren, Isabella Maxfield and Hudson Maxfield; several nieces and nephews; several friends who was like family.

Preceding in death was first wife, Norma Jean Warren Harmon; one sister, Pauline Bacon; three brothers, James William Harmon, George L. Harmon and Fred R. Harmon and his parents.

Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, November 28, 2025 at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home with Jamey Boone officiating. Military honors will be conducted by the United States Air Force following the service.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 28, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. until service time of 1:00 p.m. at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home. Private burial will be at the Murray Memorial Gardens.
